Hello Rick. Yes, generators and lights are still popular on the Texas City Dike. If you haven’t been on the Dike since its re-opening, you’re in for a surprise. The road is in great shape all the way to the end and it makes for easier access to the water. I’ve enjoyed some good night fishing with lights when the weather and water conditions oblige. Hope you get a chance to make it back down again and catch some of those nice speckled trout.
I used to fish from the end of the dike for Trout and Reds during the evening and then set up my lights and generator and just tear the fish up on good nights. I moved out of the area about 8 years ago and was wondering if one can still use a generator and their own lights at the end of the dike. Also, is it still easy access to the end? Thank You…
Well get back down here Rick. April, as you know, will be the perfect time to set up for those trout.
