Saturday-Boyz In Da Hood

I took the granddaughter over to the local park. I spotted two young men fishing in the small pond nearby. Before I could get the camera out of the car, they landed a very nice catfish around fifteen inches in length.

We traded fishing tales for a few minutes and I hung around to see if they could land another for a picture. My granddaughter did everything possible to get their attention, but fishing was on these boys’ minds.

I give ‘em a year or so before all of that changes. ;)

I better start cleaning my shotgun….

    Heya David
Just wanted to give you an update on my end, me and my buddy went out fishing early saturday morning and stayed up until 2:pm. But it was extremly windy we could only fish on one side of the pier. We only caught 3 fish but we still had a blast it looks like no one was haveing any luck but we are going to try to test our luck this upcomming weekend.

  2. Sorry for not getting back sooner, but I just got home. I haven’t heard anything in regards to fishing tonight Jonathan. With me, if I have the time to go fishing, I’m going. I’ll let Mother Nature take care of the rest. Although she can make it rough on us fishermen at times. Good luck and above all, enjoy the experience of fishing.

  3. Hello Rico. Good to hear from you. I’ll be sure to post up a kayak report. I’m looking forward to fishing again via kayak. It can be a blast when the weather behaves. The granddaughter may hit either the Texas City Dike or one of the local ponds for some fishing tomorrow. The wind has been howling all day and I don’t look for it to let up much tomorrow. You will have such wonderful times with your grandson. Grandchildren are truly a blessing.

Hey there. Have you heard anything about how the fishing will be like tonight on the dike?

  5. Hey David,
glad to hear you had a good time taking your granddaughter out the community park and even there you got to watch some kids catching fish.
Our grandson just turned 2 in February and I can’t wait him to get a few years older and he hopefully will become interested in fishing. His dad is interested in fishing but hardly never finds time to wet a line anymore.
Have a great weekend buddy and good luck on the dike.
If you get the yak out, you’ll need to write a post about it and you are invited to publish it on my site.
    Rico
